Geography professor Luis Alvarez León was named to the inaugural cohort of the National Fellowship on the Future of Liberal Education, a Teagle Foundation-sponsored program for newly tenured faculty committed to advancing liberal education. Over two years, the cohort will explore curricular innovation and the challenges facing higher education today.
