Geography major Rachel Kent '21 was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to complete a Master of Gastronomy: World Food Cultures and Mobility at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, Italy. Through the grant, she is fully funded to spend a year in Italy studying food sustainability and sovereignty and getting hands-on experience with a variety of food systems. Rachel is currently writing a Geography senior thesis advised by Professor Patricia Lopez on geographies of more-than-human care on small-scale farms. Outside the classroom, Rachel is involved with the Organic Farm (pictured here!), the Dartmouth Outing Club, and the Dartmouth Student Union, and she's a senior intern at the Sustainability Office.
