Dartmouth & Dept. of Geography Postdoctoral Fellowships

Faculty in the Department of Geography support applications for Dartmouth-wide postdoctoral fellowship programs:

  • The Department of Geography's Postdoctoral Fellowship offers a two-year position that augments and complements existing departmental strengths. Fellows teach two 10-week long courses over two years. Search interfolio for our current openings!
  • The Ecology, Evolution, Environment & Society (EEES) Program offers a new vision for scholarship, education, and service in the Anthropocene. EEES is a diverse community that includes faculty, graduate students, and postdoctoral scholars from the departments of Biological Sciences, Environmental Studies, Anthropology, and Geography.
  • The Neukom Institute funds postdoctoral fellows whose research interests or practice cuts across traditional disciplinary boundaries and has some computational component.
  • The Provost's Fellowship (PROF) Program prepares early career scholars for long-term success in higher education. The PROF program includes two types of fellowships: some are designated as dissertation-completion fellowships that convert to postdoctoral appointments in the second year; some are structured as one- or two-year postdoctoral appointments.
  • The Society of Fellows funds recent PhDs from a range of disciplines, including humanities, social sciences, sciences, engineering, business, and medicine, with a focus on innovative research, interdisciplinarity, and the potential to contribute to a community of scholars.
