Dam removal in the United States is an increasingly attractive option for advocates of river restoration. In a recent article published in the Annals of the American Asscoiation of Geographers, Profs. Sneddon, Magilligan, and Fox use dam removal in New England (United States) as a lens for examining state actors' capabilities to govern environmental processes.
