Biography
Helena is an incoming postdoctoral research associate working with Dr. Justin Makin and Dr. Klaus Keller at Dartmouth College. Her research integrates environmental data and spatial analyses to examine the impacts of climate change and natural hazards on individuals, households, and communities. She finished her PhD in the Environment, Ecology, and Energy Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2026. Her dissertation research focused on identifying patterns of repetitive flood exposure and assessing how these experiences shape migration, adaptation, and resilience outcomes.
