Research in the Department of Geography scales from local to global and covers the breadth of the geography discipline. Faculty conduct research at sites ranging from the White River in Vermont to American Midwest cornfields to rural villages in South Africa to Asian megacities.  The research methods used are equally diverse, ranging from ethnography and archival study to climate modeling and statistical analysis to geovisualization and remote sensing.
