Join Professor Luis Alvarez Leon from Dartmouth Geography for an interdisciplinary panel "Developing a Publishing Strategy" on Wednesday, May 15th from 3-4:30 PM in Fairchild Hall 008. Panelists include Dr. Courtney Wittekind from Purdue University's Anthropology Department, Dr. Jovanna Rosen from Rutgers University's Public Policy Department, and Dr. Andrew Bellisari from Purdue University's History Department.
Panelists will discuss questions such as how to turn your dissertation in to a book, how to decide which journals to target for publication, and how to design a publishing plan for the job market and the tenure track.
All are welcome to attend, and no reservations are required. Grad students, postdocs, junior faculty, and undergrads working on manuscripts for publication: this discussion may be especially helpful for you, since panelists will discuss concrete publication goals, approaches, and strategies!
There will be ample time for a Q&A, so bring your questions and/or specific projects that you'd like to discuss with the panelists. For specific questions about publishing or more information, please email Luis.F.Alvarez.Leon@dartmouth.edu.
